Hi President,
So I'm here in Montevideo because E' Neilson had to sign papers. The cyber here is expensive and super slow, so I won't be able to say everything that I wanted to say but oh well... I'll sum up even more!
“R” was baptized and it was by far the best baptism that I have been to. After receiving the Holy Ghost, he went up to bare his testimony and immediately felt its presence. He started crying when he talked about the amazing peace he feels every time he enters the church or is around the “Chi” family. Then, Hermana “El” bore her testimony (crying her eyes out) saying that she was so happy to be blessed so much by the Lord and to receive His forgiveness. She said that the reason she was able to overcome the trial that night she talked to you on the phone was because of the love and spirit she felt as “Rob” (priest in our ward that was doing divisions with me during the time of her freak out) gave her the warmest hug she had ever felt. “Rob” got up and also couldn't talk without difficulty. He said that that was his first time baptizing someone. When “Rob” and “R” walked into the bathroom to change after the ordinance, E' Neilson and I went into the bathroom as they were changing and we were like, “’Rob’ es un CAPO!!!” and he shouted in the stall, “SOY UN CAPO!” He shared in his testimony that when he heard that from us, and when he heard what Hermana “El” said about his hug and the impact that he had on other people's lives, he just feels so good. He said he has never felt the spirit so strong and has never felt as happy as he did when he did a mini corto plazo with Elder Neilson and me. When I was sitting listening to all of the testimonies, I just gained an even firmer testimony of how amazing this work is! How amazing this ward is! We basically did nothing. Without the members, “R” wouldn't have received all of the spiritual experiences he needed in order to gain the desire to be baptized and follow Christ. I'm so grateful for everything that has happened here in Rivera.
There is so much more but like I said, this cyber is awful. Thanks for everything, President!
