I sent you
guys an email last week!? I sent it again just in case you didn't get it. But anyway,
this week we were working with this family that I LOVE and we asked them to
pray so that we could find someone to teach together. Right after the prayer,
two girls knocked on the door asking if their children could play and we
invited them in to watch How to Find Faith in Jesus Christ. They watched it
with us, we invited them to go to church, and now their mom and them want to
get baptized!!! It was pretty sick!
Also, we've been working with the “Az” family (already have talked about them). “Ch” is 17 and “S” is 14 (birthday was Sunday). We had a long talk about serving a mission and he totally opened up to us about his thoughts on the mission. He would love to and everything but he's afraid something will happen to his family and he is afraid his girlfriend won't wait for him (we are teaching her the lessons btw). I talked about my testimony of the mission and my farewell talk. In my farewell talk I spoke about how I knew that the Lord has prepared me since the foundation of the world to serve a mission and help the people of Uruguay. And that there are people here that have been prepared by the Lord specifically for me, and that before I left, I knew that I didn't have the right to deny my brothers and sisters the opportunity to accept the restored gospel. We said that he had millions of people waiting to be saved by him and that the mission has eternal results that we can't even imagine. With a few other words he got pumped to serve a mission and we promised him that if he did everything to prepare himself to serve the Lord, and it is the Lord's will, that his girlfriend will get baptized and serve a full time mission also. It was super cool!

I also
fell into a pit and hurt my leg but luckily I'm ok haha. Here, there are a lot
of old, square man holes to get down into the sewers, and we were contacting a
house, I stepped on one, the old concrete broke and I fell through.
We just had
stake conference and guess what Elder Bednar talked about? The same thing that
Gavin talked about! The talk was incredible! If you can try to find it, you'll
love it! It was for Uruguay and Paraguay only.
Things
have been getting better and with 2 weeks left in this change I am feeling
stressed. I don't really want to leave here. I've been here for so long and am
seeing small changes every week. But of course the Lord knows where I am needed
most.
Ummm,
there was something that I was going to ask you but I forgot...a lot of things
have been happening and I'm afraid I'm not writing enough. I have pictures to
send you though. Love you all, I know I shouldn't be thinking about this at all,
but it's going to be so fun when I get back! We're going to have so many
activities! Like yard work, teach the doctrine of Christ to struggling ward
members and millions of baptisms for the dead to do. People here are working on
their Family History and I'm expecting to dunk Gavin and Abbie like a million
times when I get home!
Love E'
McRae
